High Noon and Challenge entry part 2

Here is the second landscape I painted for the weekly challenge on Daily Paintworks. I had a bit of difficulty with atmospheric perspective in the middle ground area....but all in all it was a great challenge.....a nice simple landscape to get started with! I call it High Noon, because there are no shadows to speak of!

  1. Challenges like this are very helpful. I enter the National Novel Writing challenge every November where you're force to write 50,000 words in a month. It's some important that we put our art/craft/vocation into practice to stimulate our creativity and hone our skillset. It's so tempting for creative people to dream and not do. Cause something it feels like dreaming is doing. I really enjoy seeing your work.

  2. Thanks Cyn! The challenges have helped me tremendously....I always found I've done my best work when it was "assigned" to me....I suppose it's my need for structure and accountability...whatever the case, I look forward to Saturdays when the new challenge is revealed!
