6x6 oil on panel
Yesterday I did a few set-ups for chocolate kisses. I had a potential customer ask if I would try to do one before Valentine's day. Now I know why there just are not that many paintings of them out there, they're harder than they look! The one I attempted yesterday I ended up wiping off and started over this morning with a simpler design. I'll probably try 4 or 5 of these.
We DO think so much alike! I am planning a few of these, too! Just cut me some 6 x 6" panels like I did the salt shaker on.
ReplyDeleteThe simple looking things can often be the most difficult to represent in paint! Good job!!!
Wow that's devine!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou really nailed the silver foil on that kiss. Great painting and contrast.
ReplyDeleteIf you wiped the first one, you really learned from it. This looks great, and good enough to eat!
ReplyDeleteI really like this...now you can do a ((hugs)) one lol...
ReplyDeleteYour rendition is great!
Ok inquiring minds want to know.
Who "won" the January challenge?
It seemed like both of you were doing really well.
I have an idea for a March challenge...Do green paintings until
St. Patrick's day. It can be asparagus, clovers, flowers
with greenery...Does it have to everyday
though...2 a week would be good for me.
Lol Ruthann won! I conceded because I started a painting I simply couldn't finish but that's ok it was a great experience! She picked one of my egg paintings!
DeleteLove this..the foil looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't let the foil foil you! Looks great. Very kissable.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments everyone! More Kisses to come. They're hard, but rewarding when finished!
ReplyDeleteyou did really well with that. I like the harmony in the background which holds the painting together.
